My ratings for games will NOT include numerical rating schemes. This is mostly because I feel unqualified to do so as I’m an amateur gamedev, so I feel like a hypocrite if I rate games low.
(Not that I can deny being a hypocrite >w< I always have high standards, but I, myself, never fit to those standards… Yes, it’s unhealthy)
Otherwise, my ratings will be over 10 and here is the scheme:
Negative or 0 – *Blegh*
DISGUSTS ME TO DEATH.
1 – Urgh
Disgusts me, but not to death
2 – *sigh*
I really hate it, but it has some good points or it doesn’t disgust me, I just dislike it very much. And I don’t want to waste my energy gritting my teeth, so I’ll just sigh.
3 – Argh
Grah, I dislike it, why is it like this?!
4 – Hmmm…
I don’t like it. Not at all. But I don’t exactly dislike it.
5 – Meh
Full of cliches, boring, just meh.
6 – Okay
Almost the same as 5 although it executed the story and whatnots better. It’s relatively enjoyable.
7 – Nice
It’s satisfactory but it’s not astounding.
8 – Woah
It’s great, there could be some improvements. Or I’ve seen better actually.
9 – Almost there
*inhales* *exhales* Woah, now, this. is. good. Real N I C E.
10 or above – Luv it, ’nuff said
*hyperventilates* I could die happy… Either that or: *hyperventilates* WHERE IS THE NEXT EPISODE!?
The ratings on my table aren’t really precise and I see it mostly as a spectrum than as a discrete set of scores I can give. That’s why some of my ratings will have some decimals (mostly just .25, .5 and .75 -just like the grading system, huehue).
Please do take note that most of the time my personal rating differs from my recommendation rating. You’ll know it’s my recommendation rating when I say “I recommend this anime -/10” or something similar and my personal rating otherwise. [EDIT: I’ve decided to more-or-less stop recommending anything and rather reviewing them]
Thanks,
~Wings~
